Walt, I could just give you a big hug for recommending this cabin. The cabin was beautiful and it allowed us quick access to many beautiful trails to hike and beautiful countryside to ride through. Mark and I have decided that this will probably be the place that we return to in the future as it was the perfect size for the two of us or still had available room for our daughter to join us. We had a great time. It was so quiet and peaceful, it was just the kind of getaway we had been looking for. The kitchen was much more equipped than we had been expecting. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at your Mountain Memory Home.  The pictures really don't do your cabins justice once you cross the threshold.  We literally had to force ourselves out of the cabin it was so nice.  We have not decided were we are going this year for our anniversary but your place by far has been the best and well worth the 6hr drive from Greensboro, NC. Thanks so much for a wonderful honeymoon getaway! Michael and I could not have made a better selection for a cabin. It was perfect. The only thing we found frustrating was trying to work the DVD player. We really needed some assistance. Maybe you could provide guests with directions or a manual. Everything else was perfect. Your cabin is truly a magical place. We loved the convenience of easily accessible towns nearby, but at the same time the seclusion of the cabin. Yes!! It was the perfect quiet get away for one tired submariner! To make the stay better, I recommend providing instructions for operation of the TV.....it proved to be a challenge on several occasions. That's it though. We absolutely loved it. Thanks. JP

We had a great weekend.  Thanks for making our weekend so special with the cabin.  We really loved the "Mountain Memory" and seems as if other guest enjoyed it too, by reading the guest book. We enjoyed the location of being in a secluded area. We had a fabulous mountain get-away at "A Mountain Memory". We found everything we could have wanted and needed at the cabin upon arrival! The box of chocolates & the dim light left on added a nice touch, especially since we didn't arrive until 11:00PM. The place was spotless and in brand-new condition. The kitchen was fully stocked, even with coffee & fixings, spices for cooking, and a few odds and ends to start a meal. We were able to relax with the Jacuzzi and hot-tub, the lounging chairs & rockers, but to make our stay even more comfortable you added those extra touches of: bathrobes, candles, soft pillows, huge screen TV, DVD, surround sound, blankets on the couches, etc. The cabin was luxurious and we hope to return soon. Shari and I had the most wonderful and beautiful time during our stay! We said over and over again to each other that our "Mountain Memory" was thee best vacation either of us have ever had! We enjoyed it so much that we never left the driveway in the car during our entire time there! We did take a walk up the road (found out how out of shape we were...) but the rest of the time we just relaxed and enjoyed our time together in "A Mountain Memory." We enjoyed our stay immensely!! Your directions were to the tee.
After doing our grocery shopping, we settled in and were very cozy.
The hot tub and satellite TV made it very hard to leave. The little extras like candles were very much appreciated. We really needed the break from the City life but didn't want to rough it. This is just what the doctor ordered! The place was super clean. We were very comfortable and were very sad to have to say good-bye! Thanks again for your hospitality!

The cabin was wonderful, even better outfitted than I was led to believe.  I had an occasion to call maintenance and he responded very quickly and fixed the problem.  The housekeeping was superb---and I am a neat freak ! Martha

My husband and I had a great time.  We would definitely visit again.  It would be an ideal place to stay in the summer if you enjoy white water rafting.  We tried a couple of local restaurants - Elsie's Seafood and Steaks in Andrews was really good and the staff was  very friendly. The cabin was immaculate and everything was just as described. It looked like it had never been lived in. I would recommend it to anyone who simply wants to get away!! Thanks for all your help! We had a lovely time at the cabin.  The cabin was beautiful, very clean, and extremely comfortable.  The kitchen was stocked with all the necessities, which was important for us with small kids.  The kids loved the loft and the view.  They also enjoyed going on various "bear hunts".  The only suggestion I would have is to let potential renters know that the town of Andrews is small so they should come prepared for such.  As my husband was in the marines, we were more than prepared but not everyone would think to bring as much as us.  Again, thank you for such a lovely cabin and we will definitely be back (probably without the kids).
